SAMBA favorite_outline
The 14 passenger Samba is a graceful, non-obtrusive vessel - it doesn't impose itself on the Galapagos landscape you are out there to experience. It's ideally suited to take you on a journey of exploration and introspection. The guides' focus is on nurturing a state of mind which encourages you to engage more fully with your natural surroundings. One cabin has a double bed, while the others have an extra-wide lower bunk, which can accommodate a cozy couple, plus a single upper berth. The steel-hulled yacht is air conditioned and all cabins have private bathrooms. There's an indoor salon and one outdoor dining area astern.

Seeing the amazing flora and fauna of the Galapagos. Learning about everything we were seeing from Luis. Getting on an island and walking every day. Snorkeling. The captain took me under his wing and snorkels with me everyday. I wish some of our walks had been longer, I felt some of our walks were shortened. The Galápagos Islands speak for themselves and it was a wonderful experience. We really liked the small ship and small number of guests. The crew were friendly, kind and helpful. I'd go again

directions_boat Ship conditionWe were lucky enough to enjoy a cruise on the Samba on our honeymoon and it was a truly once in a lifetime experience. The planning is immaculately prepared with care so every day is full to the brim with amazing snorkelling, kayaking, wildlife and island trips. Each day seemed even more special and magical than the last. My wife is a vegetarian and the crew catered for that in exemplary fashion always giving her a delicious alternative to the excellent food enjoyed by me and the other guests.

directions_boat Ship conditionThe 14-passenger Samba included 1) wet suits, snorkel gear and kayaks/paddleboard; 2) snorkeling; 3) Marchena Island. Captain Jose was always available to his guests. The crew were friendly, helpful, fun! You will never go hungry on the Samba; the food was plentiful and delicious. Guides were energetic, knowledgeable and passionate about the islands. Samba may not be the most luxurious boat in the fleet; however, its captain, crew, guides, food and itinerary more than make up for it.

directions_boat Ship conditionMy cruise on the Samba was, to put it simply, spectacular. The guide, Juan, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the islands. The early wake-up calls were beyond worth it just to experience the animals in the tranquility of the morning before other boats were even around. The rest of the crew was amazing as well; they were all so friendly and helpful with anything & everything. The 8 days I spent on the Samba went by much too quickly and I would consider myself lucky to visit again.
